= How to play =You're showing a friend this game that talks to the dead, it shows a picture of a scary skull. It looks legit. You type your question to the cyber spirit, and it answers your questions!
You tell Bob to ask a question, he wants to know his age, you know to see if this game actually works, and you type for him, "Tell me from the grave, how old is Bob" (Bob is your friend, by the way). The spirits reply, "one hundred years". Bob is amazed, it was his 100'th last week!
Bob decides to type his own questions, okay fine Bob. The spirits don't seem too impressed, and won't answer him directly. I guess they moved on to the next PC to haunt...
Okay so that was a contrived example, but you get the idea.
this is a screenshot about the about screen= How it works =You start a question with "Tell me from the grave, ...", which is just a lead-on sentence where you in fact type the real answer. To activate this secret lead-on mode you press the Magic 'a' key, after which it looks like you are typing "Tell me from the grave", but you are secretly typing the answer you want the spirits to say. Press '.' to signal the end of your secret answer, and continue typing out the question.
- press the Magic key ('a')
- type the answer to show ('one hundred years.')
- end with a '.' to signal the end of the answer
- continue typing the rest of the question
- press Enter to show the answer
- all this time on the screen it looks like you are typing "Tell me from the grave, how old is Bob?"
= Notes =You can customize the magic key, and the lead-on question by typing "setup" or "settings" to the spirits - They graciously agreed to manage your application settings.
You can add your own background images into the "images" subdirectory.
